Welcome to D3 My Way Virtual School (K-12)!
D3 My Way has a proud tradition of providing students a virtual option for their education since 2006. We are excited to announce that D3 My Way will be expanding from a program to a school at the start of the 2021-22 school year. By expanding, we will be better able to meet the needs of our current and future students while maintaining and building upon the unique qualities at the core of D3 My Way. Our staff has worked hard to create a positive culture and climate for students connected to the program. Our students appreciate the personalized instruction and flexibility they have while enrolled at D3 My Way. In addition, students will now have the opportunity to attend our “virtual” model, or they can enroll in our “enriched virtual” model, which includes in-person support and extension activities.
The teachers at D3 My Way use a comprehensive curriculum connected to the Colorado Academic Standards and deliver instruction using the most up to date virtual tools. Teachers monitor and adjust our virtual and blended learning models to ensure we are maximizing the levels of engagement for all learners. One of the most impactful components of the program are Connection Days. On these days, students have the opportunity to receive face-to-face instruction and support. Furthermore, highly qualified teachers build positive relationships with students, guide them through the rigorous curriculum, and help them stay actively engaged in the learning process by holding various workshops. Our staff also provides students with timely and descriptive feedback to help them improve their performance, so they can be successful in the program.
We strive to be sure our students leave D3 My Way Virtual School with the skills they need to thrive in our society. We support the whole child, at all levels, so that each can enhance their skills until they reach their ultimate goal of graduating from high school. Please take the time to read the expectations outlined in our handbook and contact our staff if you have any questions. This will ensure all of our students have a better understanding of what it takes to be successful in our virtual school. We are looking forward to welcoming back our returning students and meeting all of the new students who are searching for another option for their educational needs. AIM for SUCCESS at D3 My Way!

Hello D3 My Way Families!
My name is Caroline Johnson, and I am the assistant principal for D3 My Way Virtual School. This is my fifth year working with D3 My Way, and I am excited to help support D3 My Way’s transition from a program to a school starting with the 2021-2022 school year.
At D3 My Way, we understand that each child has unique learning needs. We are excited to offer two learning models for the 2021-2022 school year: Virtual and Enriched Virtual. D3 My Way Virtual School provides solid academic virtual instruction with in-building enrichment opportunities at our Learning Center. D3 My Way’s learning models allow for personalization and flexibility to meet the needs of your child.
D3 My Way Virtual School is designed to promote the development of 21st century learning skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, technology literacy, self-advocacy, interpersonal ability, and a growth mindset for students grades K-12 . We believe that students are more motivated to actively engage in their learning when they have choice integrated into their academic experience. D3 My Way staff foster a culture that encourages students to take ownership of their learning experience.
Welcome to D3 My Way!
Caroline Johnson, Ed.S., LCSW
I am Rebecca Kiger, Elementary coordinator of D3 My Way Virtual School. I have enjoyed being a member of the D3 My Way staff since 2014. I have over 15 years of educational experience, all as a teacher within the Widefield school district. My favorite part of working in education is supporting students as they make connections and experience the joy of learning.
Some unique things D3 My Way offers elementary students include: a personalized learning path, student-centered flexible schedule, and opportunities to interact and engage with peers within an inclusive, safe environment.
We believe students should have a voice and choice with their learning. Students have the freedom to work through their coursework with the instructional guidance and support of a highly-qualified teacher. Students are assigned a teacher and are part of a virtual classroom community. Through the enriched virtual model, students meet with their teachers and peers at the Learning Center to participate in hands-on learning, group projects, STEAM activities, and much more.
I look forward to partnering with you and your student in the 2021-2022 school year.
Becca Kiger, Elementary Coordinator
